Sharon Costello, a N.Y. feltmaker, has been a fiber arttist since 1985 and has worked in felt for the past 8 years. Her work includes one-of-a-kind and limited edition wearables as well as fanciful sculptural pieces. She sells her fiber art through Mill Cottage Gallery in N.Y. and through juried craft shows. She is an accomplished feltmaking teacher, who has turned countless students into feltmaking enthusiasts. She has taught through fiber guilds and festivals, art organizations, historical museums, colleges and schools. Nancy Evans is an artist from South Sutton New Hampshire works in soft sculpture, doll making, and with fiber. She has created many artistic wearables including felted vests, scarves, and fiber wire jewelry. She sells her creations at her annual craft show “A Christmas Sampler”. Debbie Gile has been an enthusiastic spinner and dyer for almost 19 years. She sells dyed fibers and marbleized accessories under her Debbies Dye Pot logo. For several years she has demonstrated and offered instruction for craft guilds, historical sites, and at Fletcher Farm Craft School in Vermont. Pamela Grob has a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and is the owner of The Fiber Studio. She has taught weaving for 25 years and is a member of the Boston Weavers Guild, N.H. Spinners and Dyers Guild, N.H. Weavers Guild, B.A.S.D. and Needles and Shuttles Fiberarts Guild. Carol Hamilton, is an avid knitter from Henniker who has been teaching knitting for a number of years, both private classes in her studio and at The Fiber Studio. Carol is a professional knitter, selling her sweaters to shops as well as on a commission basis. BIRGITTE KRAG HANSEN is a Danish craftsman on tour in the U.S. to teach her wonderful technique of needle felting. We are honored to be one of her 3 stops. She has been working with felt for 19 years. Birgitte has designed sets for a number of Danish theatres as well as exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the world. She has traveled widely giving workshops and participating in felt symposiums. Birgitte has published 2 books: “Filt I Form” and “Skulpturel Filtning”. Donna Kay has been studying traditional kniting for 20 years. "Folk knitting" is her passion and she loves passing her skills and knowldege on to others. An instructor and designer for many years, she currently designs for yarn companies and her own line of patterns, Tree of Life Designs. Robin Russo has been teaching spinning, dyeing, and felt making for many years in her own studio, for fiber shops, guilds, and at SOAR and Convergences around the country. She designs and sells her own line of felted items, and sells dyed silk fibers. Lynne Salstonstall, learned to knit as a child in Girl Scouts. Former co-owner of That’s Hats in Appleton, Maine, she designed and sold wool hats at the Common Ground Fair and local craft shows. Lynne was past president of the Quiet Corner Knitters Guild in Ct/RI, member of the Knitting Guild of America and a member of Needles and Shuttles Knitting Guild in Henniker. Jan Seavey is an artist who found that rug hooking and wool dyeing offered another medium of expression in the use of color and design. She studied with Hallie Hall of Contoocook, NH for many years. Twenty years ago she began teaching traditional rug hooking in her own studio and at shops and guilds. She exhibits in many rug hooking shows in New England.
Gail Smuda, from N.H. is a mixed
media artist, who specializes in fiber and one-of-a-kind artists books. She
received her BA from Florida Atlantic University and has shown her work in
juried exhibitions in 46 states. She is a 2 time recipient of the individual
artist grant from N.H. Judy Sullivan a knitter from Keene, N.H., sells her sweaters at the League of N.H. Craftsman and through retail commissions. Having owned a knitting store in Connecticut for a number of years, Judy is accomplished as a teacher and knitter in all aspects of knitting techniques, both hand and machine knitting.
Nicole Shazaud Telaar- is the owner
of Festive Fibers where she creates colorful handmade felt for the home. She
teaches in her studio and sells her work through many high end craft shows
around the country.
