SCHACHT SPINDLE CO. Both single and double treadle models are constructed of maple with walnut accents and finished with a hand rubbed Danish oil. These wheels can spin in three spinning modes- double drive, scotch tension, and bobbin lead. A broad range of whorls are offered . In addition to the two whorls that come with the wheel ( medium whorl 9:1 and 11:1 and fast whorl 13:1 and 15:1 five other whorls are available from 4:1 to 27:1. The drive wheel is 191/2". All wheels come with a tensioned lazykate, four bobbins,, a threading hook, two drive bands, and a carrying strap. Wheels come assembled with minimum amount of set-up. Weight single treadle- 16 lbs., double treadle 17 lbs.
